ANASIM

COMPLETE SIMULATION THROUGH CONTINUUM MODELS

Team

Anasim's team comprises of skilled semiconductor industry professionals aggregating more than 70 years of experience and more than 35 US and international patents between them. The team has already contributed to the success of another startup, ComLSI, the founding organization from which Anasim has spun off.

Team

Rajendran (Raj) Nair - President. Raj has over 20 years of combined experience in electronics in the areas of robotics, instrumentation design & production and VLSI design & manufacture. Prior to Anasim, Raj started ComLSI and served as a Senior Manager for IC Design at Lovoltech Inc. and spent 7+ years at Intel Corporation where he was responsible for strategic research and program management in the areas of microprocessor Power Delivery, IO and Packaging. Specific areas that Raj contributed to in VLSI design are Memory (RAM, ROM), Integrated Voltage Regulation, Image Sensor Architecture, Switched-Cap Circuits, Clock Generation & Distribution, High-Speed Signaling, and Microprocessor Power Delivery.

Noteworthy among Raj's industry-first accomplishments are the first robotic automatic hydraulic excavator testing system, conceived and developed in 1987-1989, that continues to be in use today at L&T-Bangalore Works, Bangalore, India. Raj also conceived of and implemented the industry's first integrated, distributed, high-bandwidth voltage regulation system into Intel microcontrollers 80196NV(tm) and 80296SB(tm), in 1996, that minimized the need for on-die capacitance and saved die area. At ComLSI, Raj has developed Active Noise Regulators (ANR's) and Local Voltage Regulators that assist high-performance microprocessor and ASIC power delivery in the nanoscale regimes. Most recently, he led the development of a 7.5Gbps 30 meter multimedia data communications link implementing advanced TMDS and Symmetric, true-differential Class-B Differential Signaling (CBDS) circuits.

Raj holds 36 US and international patents with 12 pending and has numerous publications in IEEE journals and conference proceedings. He founded the Phoenix Chapter of the AZ Nanotechnology Cluster and co-chaired the cluster from 2004 to 2006, leading it to its first successful Nanotechnology Symposium held at Phoenix on March 16, 2006.

Dr. Donald Bennett - Vice President & Director, EDA & Software Development. Dr. Bennett has over 18 years of experience in Semiconductor Physics and Electronics. He heads up the EDA division and software development activities at Anasim. He is the principal architect and developer of pi-fp's simulation engine. He is also the inventor of the 'Effective Current Density' model that dramatically simplifies electro-magnetic simulation complexity for all forms of GRID structures. He has previously contributed to ComLSI and ST Micro among his many assignments.

Malcolm A. White - Physical Design Architect & GUI Developer. Malcolm combines over 30 years of experience in the area of VLSI Physical Design and Software/CAD development. He has undertaken multiple technical contributor and management roles with industry leaders such as Intel Corporation and Mentor Graphics, and has also worked at startup companies such as Corrent Semiconductor. Malcolm's skills and experience span CAD tools from all leading industry vendors and extends to coding in Synopsys (R) Scheme and other equivalent scripting languages in such tools. Malcolm is also skilled in software coding for CAD and is the software architect and implementer for the graphical user interface of pi_fp, previously called PowerESL, an industry-first power integrity aware Floor Planner.
